Pastoral Staffs contacted Mark Heavener at BGCT that we would like to have Briant serve in the youth ministry from Dec. to Feb.   Mark said that he will let us know if they are able to sponsor once he has the answer.

  6.  Pastor Wang will daft 2 invitation letters to 劉同蘇牧師, 洪予健牧師representing DFW Chinese Baptist churches joint ministry chairperson to invite them to be the speakers for 2010 & 2011 joint retreat & joint outreach. Pastor Wang called劉同蘇牧師 on 11/24/09 and left a message on his voice mail.

Jesus told the people a story about a man and his two sons. 耶穌告訴人們一個關於一個人和他兩個兒子的故事。

One day, the younger son went to his father. 有一天，小兒子去找他的父親。 He said, ‘Father, give me the money which would be mine when you die. I want it today.’他說：「爸爸，給我你死後要留給我的錢，我今天就要。」 The father did not think it was a good idea. He finally agreed. 這位父親不認為這是個好主意，但他最後答應了。.After he got the money, the younger son left home. “He traveled a long way to a faraway country. 小兒子拿到錢後就離開家，去到一個很遠的國家。  There he wasted all his money getting drunk and having wild parties. 在那裡他把錢花在醉酒、狂歡。When his money ran out, he was left with nothing at all. 當他錢用完了，他什麼也沒剩，  He could not even buy food.甚至沒有錢買食物。

As time passed, the son eventually decided to return home and ask for forgiveness from his father. 日子一天天過去，小兒子決定回家，請求父親的原諒。

As Jesus told the story about the boy who had left home, He hoped the people would learn the lesson of the story. 當耶穌講這男孩離家的故事，祂希望人們能從故事當中學到功課。 God will forgive anybody and everybody, as long as they are sorry. Anyone who is willing can start over fresh again.神會原諒任何人和每一個人，只要他們能認錯。任何人肯的話，都能重新開始。

Jesus told the rest of the story. 耶穌接著講下面的故事。 What the son did not know, was that the father had been waiting and praying to God for the day that the son would return home.  這兒子所不知道的，是他的父親已經在等待他，並且向神禱告有一天他會回家。When the son finally returned home, he was very sorry. 當這兒子終於回家了，他非常難過。However, the father forgot all about what had happened and was only excited about his return.然而，這位父親已忘記所發生的事，只是對他的回來感到非常興奮。

A large party and feast was thrown for the son’s return.  父親為他兒子的回來舉辦的一個盛大的宴席。However, when the older son saw this, he became very jealous.  然而，當大兒子看見了，變得非常妒忌。The older son thought it was not fair.  He angrily asked why the father treated the younger son with so much more love.  大兒子認為不公平。他生氣的問父親為什麼對待小兒子這麼多的愛。The father replied ” ‘But you’re also my son, 父親回答說：「你也是我的兒子。」’ the father said. ‘Everything I have belongs to you.  所我有的都屬於你的。Don’t you see? 你沒看到嗎？This brother of yours was dead and now he’s alive.  你的弟弟本來已死了，現在又活過來了。He was lost and has been rescued!’ “他是失而復得

Thank Lord ! We had a meeting yesterday. Follow the minutes regarding Pastor Sabbatical Report：

「Deacon board’s sharing: Due to church’s current situation, deacons hope Pastor Wang to stay at CCC to stabilize the church.  Suggest Pastor Wang to take 3 weeks to 1 month vacation.  Pastor Wang & Pauline will consider Deacon board’s suggestion & let deacon board know as soon as possible. Sabbatical is every 7 years serving. Logos seminary正道神學院 教牧學博士1/15/10-2/5/10 3 weeks class twice a year(6 weeks a year).  3 courses at a time.  $14,000 for 2 year.」(see the minutes)

10/5-15 Taiwan mission trip schedule.

台灣短宣報名截止日為9/14。

考慮到九月份汽油將漲價的因素，若有弟兄姊妹今天能作好短宣決定的，我們將於明天8/31訂票。

此次短宣的行程是10/5-15，10/5-9在后里眉山教會，10/10-14在大甲日南教會。10/12去麗馳科技工司

短宣隊員需要準備一份得救見證，並能以口述流利表達，準備三首聖詩。

Pastor Wang schedule outside mission conference from Sep.13-16 to Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Conference trip Expenses includes air ticket, food, misc, etc. (hotel expense according to conference’s decision)  All the expenses for this trip will be locate outside mission conference.

1.          Preparation for 2009 Joint Retreat co-workers’ Meeting on 10/7 Tuesday 10:00am at CCC

A.        Finance:

u  2008 Financial report: Yan already finished.  Flora will prepare ppt before 9/30.

u  2009 propose to establish seminary students fund.  Suggest each church contribute $100.- for this fund.

B.         Lodging:

u  Motels outside of Falls Creek: Flora is checking the quote & will prepare ppt before 9/30.

Today Flora e-mailed to Jennifer & waiting for her response:

l   Building for 6 people: check on the completion date for the building, numbers of rooms available, bed size, bath rooms, and price.

C.         Youth Ministry Needs:

u  Each church to provide youth sponsor contact.

u  Each church to provide adult youth sponsors during retreat.

u  Pastor Don will share details on next Tuesday pastoral meeting & present on 10/7 co-workers’ meeting.

E.         2008 Joint Retreat survey

l  Pastor Don will prepare Evaluation for joint retreat survey by 9/30.  Survey will be finalized 10/3 and presented to the meeting on 10/7.

2.          9/28 Sunday 鄒日中John Chou from Herald will come to church sharing for 20 min.

Purpose:

a.       To confess our sins, ask for God’s cleansing & mercy.  認罪,求神的潔淨與憐憫,

b.      To revive our spirit to repent & walk with Him.興起悔改的靈與神同行.
