Mission Committee Meeting Minutes

7/5/09 Sunday 1:30-3:30pm

Place: CCC

Present: Pastor Wang, Sandy, Mary, Flora

1. Gift to the children at Waterbury VBS:

i)            Church will purchase 65 Evangecubes as part of the VBS teaching and will give them to the children as gift. This order will be shipped directly to Waterbury.  The cost is $406.02 which is within VBS budget.

ii)          Flora will contact Pastor Maner at Waterbury to double confirm the shipping address.

1. Name tags: BGCT will give us lanyards & plastic badge holder.  Flora & Catherine will prepare the insert.
2. Church sponsorship for mission trip

a)          Sandy, Kirsten, Kristian, James Lee, Eileen Kim, Andy Kim, Joy Kim

1. David Chen & Flora Chen’s mission expense is paid from James Chen’s contribution to the short term mission per his request.
2. VBS materials: They will be checked-in luggage instead of shipping them to Waterbury.
3. Due date to bring sleeping bag to church: 7/12 Sunday
4. Mission training agenda:

a)          7/12 Sunday 11:30-12:30pm,

i)            Report: Report to parents & mission team about the rules and reminder.

ii)          Each VBS station does its own practice.  Pastor Wang will be with the game station.

a)          7/17 Friday night 7:30pm- :

i)            Final reminder to mission team & parents.

ii)          Assign sleeping bags luggage & VBS material luggage to team members.

iii)        Prayer

iv)        Each VBS station does its own final reminder.

1. Albert will be the contact person when Pastor Wang is at Waterbury.
2. Flora will e-mail to mission team, parents & deacons today’s minutes.
