July Deacon Meeting Minutes

Presence: Mengpei, Thomas, Sandy, Albert, Mary, Cerina, Pastor Paul, Flora, Yan

1. Devotion. Mark 10:17-31

Sharing of receiving from today’s sermon.

1. Financial report

General fund bank balance is around $3,100 now.  June general fund loss is $2,257. End of June general fund loss is $1,200.  End of June Mission fund profit is $4,320.

1. Approval of last month’s minutes

Approved

1. Decision regarding John Woell for position of youth minister

3 aspects to evaluate:

1. Right person: calling, training, passion
2. Right timing: Does church need a youth pastor now?
3. Right doing: Are we doing the right thing? (According to bible principle.)

Decision: Pass (6 votes, 5 agreed, Albert will call Jian on Monday)

1. 7/17 Friday night fellowship

BEFORE dinner, each VBS station does its own final practice according to their needs.  Each station adult leader will contact his/her station for the time to meet for practice.  Flora will e-mail to mission team regarding this.
